Holley Carb

hey im goin to be purchasing the racing beat 465cfm carb setup, are any of you familar with it... i hear their quite easy to tune... and are very streetable but id like to know for sure.....ive heard that they give as much as an 80hp gain!!!! is that true

They are easy to tune, and very streetable. The whole 80 hp gain is ridiculous. The best you can look forward to is 20 horsepower gain. That is if you buy a better fuel pump, and you already have exhaust and ignition upgrades.

This is assuming you are buying the setup for a stock port setup. If not, it depends on how big the ports are.

I was never impressed with the RB Holley carb. Save your money and buy the RB intake and an Edelbrock carb instead! If not get yourself a Weber set up.

465 would be good for a 12A.

Yes, holleys are easy to tune. They are a very streetable carb too. You can get good power and still tune in decent milage.

They are pretty easy to tune all except for primary power enrichment. This is done with a predrilled oriface in the metering block that adds to what is supplied by the primary jets when the power valve is opened. This orifice sizing is really what racingbeat is charging for with their carb. That and the wierd float bowl vent.
