Holley 600 for 450?

I currently am running a Holley 600cfm carburetor on my stock 12a. This carburetor is just too much for my stock 12a motor...so i was wondering if anybody would want to trade straight across for their holley 450cfm...hopefully with some center hung floats...

...PM me or send emails to bkm_rx7@hotmail.com...

I have one for the Bridgeport, but a stock port I think it would be too much.

Sorry, I do not have a smaller carb, except for a 40 IDF. I think that will work pretty good on a stock port motor, it worked well on a 13BT.

If you jet it right I imagine that it will work really nicely. It is off the car and ready to send, and I have LOTS of spare parts for it.

Let me know.

pillage6,

Not to hijack this thread, but, I'm building a 12abp and my mukuni will probably be too small. How do you have it jetted? I have a 600 that I will probably have to use.

I will have to check the jets, I had someone rebuild the carb and tune it before I got the A/F gauge hooked up.

try selling it on ebay. should be able to get at least half what the 465cfm for the stock port engine costs from racing beat. it's what i used on a stock 12a. ran reall strong.

No...i havnt yet...somehow 3 of my 4 lug bolts on my rear drivers side wheel came loose when driving the other night...this lead to MANY problems...bottom line is now i need to swap hubs and wait another week for 4 new lug bolts...so this hasnt left much time for pulling out my holley...but waiting for the bolts...i should have time...also...this 600cfm holley i think is just too much air flow for a stock port 12a...which is why i wanted to trade straight across if i could...

As far as selling it on ebay goes...i dont trust ebay...cant afford to wait that long for another carb...and cant afford paying more money...but thanks for your input...
