i'm no carb expert, but 600cfm seems like overkill unless you're going to port the engine or maybe turbo/supercharge it. for comparison, the RB holley kit is only like 465cfm. also, from what i've heard, you won't get a drop more power from a carb upgrade unless you install better headers.

yep, if you are gonna get a new carb you gotta get headers (for a significant hp increase). 600 cfm is too much, like rexelite said. if you do drop on a carb, chances are you will need a new fuel pump since the stock pump is too weak.

Yeah, and I remember seeing somewhere (either paul yaw's site or felix's toolbox...) that a bigger carb doesn't equal bigger gains.... Too big a carb can have as many, if not more problems, than too small a carb. The 465 that RB offers is good for a stock engine, because they've tuned it that way... Until you get your car ported, stick with an RB or something that's built for rotaries that haven't been ported yet.

I have ran s 600 dual feed/double pumper,mechanical secondaries for 2-3 yrs,

I havent had any problems, and it has been nice, and since my engine is ported now,I can still use it.

I also ran low 15s with just bolt on items, and could of ran 14s with proper carb tuning and better tranny.

Most likely you have a single feed vacume secondaries,I dont like them carbs but my freind runs 12s with his on his 12A.
