high RPM Jump

Question high RPM Jump

OK this is wered and cant seem to figure out why it dose this but when im at wot it seems to go to 5 good and then slows down tell about 6.5 then it just jumps to or past 7 if i dont let of in time and when i do this it seems to have really good power from 6.5-7 i dont know what could cause this. any help would be much apresated thank you

From: Trying to convince some clown not to put a Holley 600 on his 12a.
Sounds like a fuel delivery issue, like a restriction due toi a clogged filter or carb screen.
If the return line in the carb is compromised at the tank end, this can also cause fuel surging at high RPMs.
