I just got 84 gsl-se with no oil cooler is that ok?

Huh? It should have lines running to a small radiator in front of the main one (although I'm sure that you know this, right?). Are the oil ports capped off? Weird!

No it is not ok. It needs to have one or the other of the oil coolers with the Front mount Cooler the perfered one.

Yeah, two things could be wrong with no oil cooler: oil flow is disturbed or stopped, and oil overheats. Both can destroy the engine since rotaries run hot and oil is used to supplement cooling.

oil cooler was bypass looks like i will get an oil cooler for after the rebuild tanks for the info. i just the car last week to an se swap on my gsl
