Exclamation HELP !!!!! sHUTS OFF ON IDLE AND WONT TURN

Well i changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, fuel, air filter, and spark plugs.

when i try to turn the car on it doesnt turn over even when i pump gas.
It will rarely turn after a long sit, but if it stops or stalls for any reason even idleing it will shut off and wont turn over again? WHAT THE HECK IS GOIN ON!!!!!

If i get it to turn on, icant leave it idleing or else it sounds like it gives it last dying breaths of power then shuts off

is it my starter?...... i seriusly have no idea!

HELP PLEASE!

Sounds a little like the battery problem I had. Have your battery checked. When I first got my 7, after shutting off I'd pretty much have to wait til she cooled right down again, or else I would drain what was left in the battery trying to start it.

is this the same problem as your other thread or is it completely different?

Also how bit a stereo. The stock alternator is only like 30 amps, which is not very much to power the cars functions let alone a big stereo on top of that. Have you tried having the stereo completely off. Will it still do this? As stated get the battery checked and then the alternator.

same, i will try having it completely off. what would i need to power the stereo completely itself? without consuming power from car? alternator is old, should i change it also?

Get it checked as well as battery. Not overly cheap to replace so get it tested. Just power off the head unit, should draw not much power (as i said i dont know what kind of AFM stereo it is, some more details might be able to determine whether thats the draw or not.) Alot of people upgrade stereo but their alts and batts are in good working ocndition. If you find your alt is toast, look into doing the 2nd gen 80 amp alt conversion or some people do like a gm alt conversion. Search it, coupld threads around here
