help request to identify part

About 10 years ago I replaced the original ignition wires on my 1984 S. Since then I have had these two rubber pieces left over--one blue and one black--about 1-3/8 in. long, 7/8 in. diameter. I think they are original boots that fit over two of the spark plugs. Which two, I don't know. If there were four, then I have lost the other two. The four aftermarket replacement ignition wires all have 45 deg integrated boots.

I can't seem to find any pictures or diagrams in the FSM that show these things.

If supposed to be only two, which two of the four spark plugs do they go with? Why a blue and a black (color code for leading/trailing?)?

So, just curious if anyone recognizes these orphaned parts.

Thanks

This is the best bet. I've never seen these on any first gen RX-7 as a stock part.

This suggestion got me going in the right direction (I think). I checked at the distributor and coils with a test fit. At the distributor cap end, they fit loosely--no match. But at the coil end, they have a snug fit. Seems right. They must have been part of the original wireset and for some unknown reason I separated these two boots from the two original coil wires when I discarded the original wireset (due to arcing). Best guess anyway.

Curiosity satisfied. End of story. Out they go.
