HELP! Removed rats nest now car wont even stay on

I removed the rats nest, following the guide from mazspeed to the tee. I double checked everything. When i start the car unless i pump the gas it wont start, i have to push the peddle all the way to get it to rev up, when i let off the gas it INSTANTLY dies and barely can get it to start back. What could i have done?? I have to move tommrow to a new town here and now i have no way to drive! i have a 1985 GS.

Thanks in advance!!

1. Headers red hot means you are running too lean. Bad for exhaust and super bad for engine.

2. Still sounds like a huge vacuum leak. Are you sure you hooked up and capped off everything properly?

Some advice, as I had the same problem, take your time and look at everything carefully.

Glad you got it fixed! THe huge vacuum leak made it run lean, causing the high exh temps and red glowing headers. Actually extended hi rpm operation will make them glow anyway most times. My racecar headers are cherry red after a session.
