Help with plug wire connections on 13B GSL-SE

As I continue to sort out my 1984 GSL-SE, I know I need a fuel pressure regulator/dampener. There is slight seeping, and it fits other symptoms. I will be pulling the intake soon, but wanted to verify the coil to distributor to plug wiring, because I simply reconnected everything as it was when I got a new distributor cap/rotor. I found a Gen 2 thread, but wanted to make sure this pattern is the same as the Gen 1. Here is what I found; is it the same for the 1984 GSL-SE? Thank you!

Engine:.Front Rotor(#1).Front of car...Rear rotor(#2) firewall.

Leading coil..again front of car.."L"..Hook up Spark plug wires L1 and L2 to the LOWER(..get it?..L=lower) plugs.
L1 to front lower plug and L2 to rear Lower plug.
(NOTE: these 2 wires CAN BE switched as the fire at the Exact Same time...)

Trailing Coil (T): Driver's side strut tower,by brake booster..(Trailing..towards the back..easy to remember).
VITAL: hook up T1 to Top Plug on Rotor #1(front rotor).
Hook up T2 to Top plug on Rotor#2.

THESE Trailing plug wires CAN NOT be interchanged as it will cause engine damage.the car will not run correct if these 2 wires are inadvertently switched.

Note: I will NOT change anything until I receive confirmation of the proper way to connect the wires, and will match that against what is in the car. Thank you in advance!

Tim

This is from a 1988, but still will wait for confirmation. Unfortunately, if this is the case, my car is not connected properly, and probably explains the knocking I have heard on moderate to heavy load. I thought it was fuel starvation related, but it might be FAR worse...

https://www.fixya.com/cars/t25238770...g_wire_diagram, which seems to be the same as this:

Number one chamber is the one closest to the distributor or crank angle sensor, number two is closest to the firewall. T is top and trailing, L is lower and leading. On the distributor cap the holes are marked L1-L2 etc.

Still does not identify if it is a 12A or 13B, or is the wiring pattern identical for either engine? Thanks...

Sidenote: on the drivers side fender, the TRAILING coil is toward the FRONT of the car, while the LEADING coil is further back. Follow the directions on the top of the Distributor Cap for where your spark plug leads belong. Here's a pic to make sure you get the coils wired correctly;

The front of the car is to the left (*note motor for headlight).

The leading plugs do not fire at the same time (wasted spark) like the fc second generation Rx7. Gslse has a distributor. Do not mixup any of the plug wires. The Gslse has the same ignition system as the 12a..
