help please, radiator

I looked for a thread that could help me, but could not find one.

Anyway I have a 12a, and on my radiator next to the radiator cap is a small sensor. Can anyone tell me what this sensor is called. ( the one that was there broke)

It's the coolant temperature sensor or it's the coolant level sensor I believe.
You can pick them up from Black Dragon.

How this helps.

Should be the coolant level sensor, mine broke awhile back and i kept getting the ringing noise so I just shortest the wire to ground and keep an eye on my temps. Check the coolant occasionally. That's just me though.

Mine, was really old and just broke in a bunch of peaces, needed a vice grip to take it out. I finally got my car running but lots of anti freeze leeks from it. Thanks a lot for the help.

Hope none of that shrapnel got into the radiator through that bung. If it did it could cause a clog in the radiator or worse move into the engine and clog the coolant ports. Unless you're pretty sure it was clean then I'd recommend flushing the radiator, unless you've already done it I'm sure it needs it anyway. Good luck!
