I just developed a leaking muffler that I need to replace and was wondering what everyone thought would be the best for a stock 82 gle.I may try headers and carb later,but am not sure.I have already removed cat so I don't need a loud muffler,but just something with a smooth sound.Thanks in advance for any help.MW

+1 on the PowerPulse. Bolts right up and built like a tank.
Some people think it's too quite, especially if you're running through a stock exhaust manifold.
Price can be an issue $$$$$
You can find something cheaper, it'll be more difficult/expensive to install, may not last as long, and may sound like $#*@....but it's your call.

 

If you just wanted to replace the muffler I would recommend magnaflow mufflers. They sound great.
