Help!! last part of the turbo swap. Axle and driveshaft question.

Okay, just ordered my custom driveshaft.

Ordered it at 42in, with a TII yoke and and the larger 83 pinion flange.

I have an 82 but they could not source the 82 flange, and the 83 has a much larger U joint in it that is about twice as strong.

my questions are these.

I know the pinion flange is interchangable, but I also know that there is a crush washer in there and axles are really sensitive when it comes to bearing load and such.

Im planning on upgrading to a GSL axle very soon, but they are hard to come by and im just trying to get the car on the road for now.

what parts do I need just to switch the 83 pinion flange to my 82 axle. is it just the crush washer and the seal or is there more involved.

It's actually a crush tube. Make sure you get the tightening torque correct or it will compress the tube. Been there, done that....
