i recently purchased a

nikki 4 barrel carb off a 81 rx-7

i belive the carb is california spec

i got a rebuild kit for it

i used a gp sorenson rebuild kit paid $27

i pretty much have the carb ready to drop in just need some tips on jetting heres my set up


13b four port motor
with a fuel pump
i modified the manifold to fit a 12a carb
rb headers
and a fuel pump
straigt pipe


im not running any emissions on the carb

and as for elevation im in los angeles and will be using the car mainly for highway use

a few friends said to run the carb as is but i having some experience in carbs due to my background in two strokes i know running the carb as is wouldn't be too much of a smart idea


i really wanna dial my carb in with out having to blow my motor or spend lots of money on jets i dont need

any tips on what jet sizes to use or other carb modifications would help alot

will a nikki carb flow enough for a 13-b?? 13-b streetport? Im thinking it may be a bit restrictive??
