Help. I'm confused!!!

Why does the 84-85 GSL have a longer drivesaft then the GSL-SE? or it says so in the factory manual anyways.

I know teh 13B is longer but the length is made up by teh engine mount bracket or the subframe right?

I'm confused but I guess I'll figure it out when I pull the drive shaft and tranny from the GSL-SE parked in front of my house

The only difference that I know of is between the manual vs. automatic trans. All 83-85 manual transmission should get the same shaft whether it is a 12a or 13b. 84-85 7's with auto trans are a different part # according to Mazdatrix.

Hope this helps,

Mike
