Question HELP! GSL-SE running like a V6 missing a Cyl

Had this car for a few years and have come to understand a fair bit about the fuel, ignition system .etc.... never heard this before...never had any engine problems :-(

Car back fired Bad and then "miss" appeared .. drove home slowly under powered.

Can you tell me what you think it is ... and what is the best solution..

Thanks in advance

First thing I would do is make sure you have fire to the leading plugs.

2nd thing to do is perform a compression test.

Do those above then report back.

Does it idle ok or want to die?

Typical GSL-SE problem. They run so well for so long that the apex seals wear well past 7mm, then break.

I wouldn't jump the gun here until further tests are done. Actually, I had a 6 cylinder car that acted the same way you are describing and ended up be a cracked distributor cap that I couldn't see until I started the car in a dark room/garage. While this was happening I still had good spark at the plugs.
