Help! Good day gone bad.

i just bought a new SPW steering wheel and i wanted to put it on. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, as i was pulling on the old wheel, something snapped and now my steering column moves back and forth about and inch and there is also some major play when turning left and right. it feels like there is a delay when you steer. am i in deep $#!%

I think you broke the claspable column, it's made to break in case of an accident so you don't have a hard impact with the steering wheel. You might need a new column. next time use s steering wheel puller...

Get a steering wheel puller. It turns 20 min of pounding into 30 seconds of turning a wrench.

remove the column and put in a pop-rivet to keep it sturdy. i was told to do this.. it'll do the job but then again if you get in a accident the safetly protection of you're column breaking wont happen. this isnt really a problem aslong as you're wearing a seatbelt and dont sit too close to the wheel tho.
