HELP!!! Fuel pump interchagable? SE
Hey I need some help here guys. I just got my engine and everything all back together in my '85 SE today and I tried to start it and it doesn't seem like it's getting fuel. I can't hear the pump, but when I jumped the fuel pump with the plug under the hood, I couldn't hear it then either, but I heard a clicking, which I assume is the fuel pump relay?
My question is, are the fuel pumps interchangable with one out of an FC. I have one available rightnow, but I don't want to rip my tank out and try to use this one. Also, do I have to remove the tank on this to change thepump? I know you don't need to on FC's, but I didn't see a place for the pump in the rear of my car. Help me out, I want my car to run.

FCs have the fuel pump within the tank. Don't think it will work easily with the SE. The SEs use inline pumps.
For my TII mod I'm planning on putting a Walbro 255 inline pump in place of the stock SE pump. It's a common fuel system upgrade for the FCs. Here is a link to one supplier.

Note you can order this pump with the required fittings for the install. I think the outlet is a banjo type fitting.
If you find out exactly which fitting is required, please let me know.
