Hello?

Hey guys, I hear that if there are any questions, or answers, here is the place to be. I just recently aquired an 85 gs. My last RX that I had was an 84 gsl-se, My mechanic moved out of state. After I had an issue I went to 4-5 different mechanics, and all of them told me how I HAVE A PISTON ISSUE, or SOUNDS like a bent piston...... I knew that it was time to move on.... WHAT A MISTAKE! 5 years of " why did I do that" and " I miss it" etc etc.... My wife finally got tired of hearing me cry like the baby that I was she got me a GS. I feel comfortable to work on it my self... I hope.

Well here is my fist project to tackle. Does anyone know of a detailed instruction to remove the emission rat nest on top of the 12a engine. The previous own attempted to and didnt finish, and I notice 2 or the tubes pulling air. The car idles a little ruff, and I am sure that hackjob on the rats nest is a cause. Any ideas? Let me know. If there is any dirrection in this removal Please let me know too. THANK

Hi, welcome to the forum. You can find the complete instructions pertaining to the removal of the rat's nest in the FAQ section on the main (1st gen) page.
