heater issues

So my heater in my 84-se isnt that great. The air doesnt get all that warm, its warm, but not hot, is that common. also the only place the air actaully has any force is on my front defroster, if i try to getheat out of my dash or anywhere else its very very low pressure, kinda like theres a midget behind there softly blowing. That common, or is there somethign thats wrong? The reason im asking is because its cold, this is the coldest weather ive driven it in(parked for winter) and this cold rain is really sucking

How's the engine temperature? If the engine is not getting very warm also, it could be your clutch fan that's stuck, or your thermostat is stuck open. Also, the heater core could be dirty. I don't think that's a common problem though.

water temp is at that first mark, and its decently hot air, but ive got no pressure. Is no pressure a common thing?

I don't think it's a common thing, first time I ever hear of ventilation problems on a 1st gen. I guess your next step would be to remove the ductwork on the heater core and then start the blower and see if it has pressure. If it does, your ductwork might be disconnected somewhere, and if it doesn't then I guess it could be your blower motor, after all it is 20 years old!

Mine is similar, but the engine gets plenty hot. Sits around 1/3-1/2 on the gauge, and the heat (yes, I use the heat in FL occasionally) is pathetic.

My ducts must be leaking, because the outer side vents bring outside air regardless of the fan setting. The middle vent works, but it's weak. I think my A/C even works...but feels no different because the air heats up again before it hits you!
