Ok anyone who has attempted to decipher my teenage excited jibberish,

Ive decided to go back to my '79 wiring harness, so now I think I need another heat sensor, is there anyway I can just get an after market heat sensor, and replace the original one (which doesnt have a hook up on the harness). then run it strait to the stock guage, ( or will i have to get another guage?)



Pretty much will another heat sensor work, and if so where is the original one located, ( I havent relly looked yet)
