Anyone know how to remove the headliner intact? I want to try the SEM dye on it to change the color, curious if anyones done that.

 

Do you have a sunroof? If so there's four little hook things that hold onto the edge under the rubber sunroof gasket, then remove the rear-view, and the plastic moulding that touches the headliner, then the headliner should pop off of those plastic holders with the aid of a screwdriver.

Anyone have any pictures of a headliner being removed? I'm checking my to-do-do list and my headliner is in need of some minor repair (no sunroof-model). I found this post with some description, but hoping someone will post photos of the headliner fastener contacts. Thanks!

 

I just took a headliner out yesturday, it took me 4 minutes. Theres 3 plastic screw above both doors. Theres 4 push'in type pins holding up the back.. on the front theres a metal clip in the middle. I cut the metal clip, I have no patience. Thats for the headliner with no sun roof on an '85.

I need to replace the headliner on my '82. How do I remove the **** with out breaking it. I tryed to use pb blaster and a screwdriver but I heard a small crack, its not noticeable but I don't want to push it. Or do I have to take it out from above?
