headlights gone screwy

Angry headlights gone screwy

this happens on occasion on my 1982 Mazda RX-7 GSL sometimes when the switch for manual headlights is on my head lights go all screwy and flip up and down continuously... i dont know what to do about it, i'm still kinda new bout cars and am not very good in the knowledge but pls help any one whom might have info regaurding this or if this has happened to anyone else please give me a tip how to stop the madness!!! thanx

check the switch in th econsole and the wiring for it. it sounds like you have a short somewhere. I saw a spec RX-7 do this once when he was coming accross the finish line. he had removed the console and swith and the connector was grounding on something.

i agree it sounds like a short. get a ohm tester and test the wire from the light to the motor in 3'' intervals.if nothings odd there it may be in the motor (mine did the wink thing was motor)otherwise check the connection at the dash;may have come loose from there also.
