header and exhaust stuff

hey, i just put a RB header on my 13b and took out the cat. so its a straight pipe until the stock muffler. it sounds like a stupid weedwacker now, does anyone know of a muffler or something that would give it a nice low sound?

Try the racing beat muffler of a magnaflow muffler. They will give the best results. I just don't know if it will be to your liking. Rotaries generally sound like weedwackers on crack no matter what exhaust they have.

I have a 12a, but header straight to RB muffler - the muffler was definately worth what I spent on it. It's not that loud at all, but it is much more tinny than some people like. And the gas smell is enough to make your eyes water.

Like I said before, you will have to get used to the smell and the sound. Its not going away. You would have to do a pretty complicated exhaust to get it to sound really low, and its not worth it. A racing beat exhaust is the best thing to get, but its really not loud at all and IMO, it doesn't have a very nice sound. The ONLY way to get rid of the eye watering gas smell is to have your cats in GOOD working order.
