Head light options

Has anyone ditched the big round head lights in favor of something smaller and more compact? I have seen swaps on miatas where they swap to a small duel fog light style head lamps. They may not be legal by dot standards but that doesn't matter where I'm at.

I know I can't be the only one that has thought of this so I just want to see what people have come up with.

Also I'm not concernered about the movement of the head light bucket, they will either be fixed in the up position or I'll make something to move them up or down manually.

the miata kits come with shorter linkages, so that the stock headlight motor is used but the travel of the headlight is shorter. not too hard to do really.

there used to be a kit that replaced the headlight cover with plexi and then put small lights behind that.

It's either stock or custom. There are no kits available to convert the headlights to anything different.

Run your own power wiring to the lights with relays. Then get Xtra-Vision bulbs. Works great.
