Unhappy Head Lamp Warning light wont turn off

1980, has taken a couple beatings in an accident a couple months. The right front end was smashed in just enough so the right front headlight won't go down. So fine, I just us the headlights up all the time till I can fix it . . . but

today after valeting the rx the HEAD LAMP warning light (furthest right light on the dash) comes on and will not turn off. Even when the car is shut off, keys out, doors shut its still on.

I know its probably something stupid but I'm afraid it will drain the battery if I leave it over night.

any ideas

thanks

Pretty weird problem there. May be a short in wiring causing it to stay illuminated. I wouldnt worry about over night, but would start to worry if more than that. If anything, disconnect the battery overnight so the possibility isnt there of it going dead.
