Have 5K to fix her up. Give me ideas/deals. =]

As Title states i have 5K for my 81 Blue FB.

Also who am i looking for to get a strong rear end from? (I am going to be putting out about 300 to the wheels)

Suspension is Gforce Engineering i believe. Are they still around? Forgot their site..

As Far as Aero where can i find the 280Z Fender flares?

Wheels: i'm going to need some 9's in the back and 8-8.5 up front..who makes something like this?

You should go to Respeed for the suspension. Also, you don't want 280Z flares, you want 240Z flares. You can get them from http://www.classicdatsun.com/ for $210. There is a writeup here on someone that installed them on a 1st gen.

you need to do suspension mods. theyll make youre car feel SOOOO much better. also, with more power youll need more brakes. go with the respeed brake upgrade kit. you can either be 4 or 5 lug.

hit up www.re-speed.com they have SO much that you need.

IMO, the engine needs to be one of the last things you adress. you need to make sure the car can handle the power before you make. safety should be addressed also.

From RE-Speed get:
rack and pinion conversion w/ quick ratio rack
coilovers front and rear
Tokico blues or Illuminas.
front anti roll bar
poly bushing kit
strut bar
Moser axles to handle your power goals

That should be a hair over $2.5k there plus shipping. After that your car will handle like a kart.

Your wheels will need to be custom made, so go to www.diamondracingwheels.com and have them make you a set. They're decent prices, and way cheaper than any flashy custom set you can get. Don't forget a really good set of tires. No point in making tons of power and have all the suspension done up if your running around on all seasons.

For now you can get away with stock discs, stainless steel lines and some Hawk pads.

300HP means turboing the 12A which from what I've read involves ALOT of work or a Turbo II swap so find a TII engine for cheap. Tear it down, port it out and get a megasquirt to run it. That should get you on your way to your goals.
