I picked up a hatch lift from NAPA ($31) that can be applied to either side of the hatch. To put it on the passenger side (where the wiper electrics go) you just unscrew the clevis retainer at the end of the rod and transfer your old electrics over. Of course, you gotta get them off the old wornout hatchlift, which doesn't unscrew, but a Dreml oughta do it.
