Has anyone made their own A/C lines?

Just wondering if anyone on here has made their own A/C lines and if so how they went about it. I was putting an FC oil cooler in my car yesterday and fitting it with the a/c dryer and lines there is a tight fit. I had to move the drier over a bit and got me thinking I could make the whole setup a lot cleaner if I could redo the lines. Plus the lines are almost 30 years old and have definatly seen better days.
I know most people on here remove the A/C all together but I'm sure someone has redone the lines Just looking for some input.
Thanks
-Sean

I had mine made @ a hydraulic shop. Make sure they use the kind of high pressure hose that will not let the refridgerant seap through (there is a word for it that escapes me at the moment). You would think they would use the proper hose as a matter of course, but speaking from experience that does not always happen. You can get creative with routing the hoses so that they are much less conspicous in the engine bay btw.

You would think they'd use the correct hose in the first place lol. Good to know though. IIRC you got a bigger condenser as well right? Where did you get it from, and do you have any pics of the lines you had made up? This is something I'd definatly like to do, I'm not happy with the placement of the drier or the line going from it to the condenser as it sits..

NAPA here does too, the fittings are my concern too. The ones on my current lines are rusty as hell so I'd want new ones...
Guess I should call them and check.
