Has anyone here tried the re-speed brake conversion?

I searched the forum, but didn't see an answer.

What I am considering:

Has anyone tried this? I've swapped in a disc brake LSD rear-end from a GSL, and even though I have some nice 4 x 110 pattern 15 x 7s, I really want to go 16 x 8 and 16 x 9 with flares. Seems like upgrading the brakes and changing the bolt pattern would be ideal, and the price on the two kits isn't too bad. I'm just wondering what experience anyone has with re-speed in general, and these kits specifically.

I dont have the big brake kit (yet) because i just re-did the brakes on my car, but i have bought parts from respeed before and it is very nice high quality stuff. Plus the customer service is top notch, no worries.

My main concern is swapping the axles. Is it difficult?

In all these years you have never Pulled an Axle?

You wont have any trouble doing it. remove all the brakes and brackets, give a tug or tap with a BFH and they slide right out.

Yep, no big deal at all, I'm in the middle of installing the big brake kit on my 83 turbo project, so far a very smooth installation, no big deal at all!

Hades, nice sig picture, vanishing point is a great movie

You have to remember, I really don't know what the hell I'm doing. I kinda figure it out as I go and common sense my way through things like my interior re-do, but I really don't know how to do any of this stuff.

I just know what I want the car to be capable of, and plan out a lot of things.

I just figured you had pulled, cleaned, painted and slept with every part of an rx-7. And Kind of thought your wife could rebuild the carbs in the dark with her eyes closed.

I now have to demote you from Legend Status and put you back to meair mortal.
