Guage Problems

I need some in put on the possible causes for my speedometer needle to woble back and forth about 5 mph at the time. Just wanted to know what to look for before I took anything apart.

check the red wire connecting to the ignition coil nearest the front of the car before you rip anything else apart. make sure its clean and snug!

its located right by the battery sorta behind the drivers side headlight.

For a speedometer problem? I thought the speedometer was cable driven. My guess is that it needs some lube. You can get some graphite lube at an auto parts store.

i concur with the lube.
my supra sat for 7 years in an old italian mans garage before i got it.. now the needle wobbles like crazy until i build some speed, however after changing the tranny oil and trying to force some into the cable from the lower end it seems better.

im too lazy to take out my gauges.
