GSLSE Headlight adjustment
GSLSE Headlight adjustment
my headlights are kind of off and wanted to know how to adjust them, i tryed the method my manual gave me but it doesnt work. can someone give me a quick walkthrough on how to do it?
You should be able to use the adjustment screws to adjust the headlights themselves, if that is not working then you either have your linkage binding somewhere and causing it to sit higher.
At least this i my guess.

generally all you need to do is adjust the lights using the two adjustment screws. park the car with the lights on in front of a solid colored building or garage door/wall. your lights will project on the building and you will be able to see where each sits and how each needs adjusted so that the lights are even with one another.

The way you adjust your headlights is by two screws located next to the actual headlight.
When you are looking from the front of your car you should see two holes in the plastic housing around your headlight, that is what you use to adjust the headlight itself.
A picture woul be very helpful to see what you are talking about, but I think I understand what you are saying...
If it is the actual assembly that looks out of alignment, it can be a few things.
1.) the linkage is binding somewhere
2.) something is bent
3.) there is an adjustment for the actual headlight assembly

This link is from the 1985 FSM regarding the Body of the vehicle, at page 15 it describes the adjustments and functions of the headlight assembly.

Kinda looks like the left hand light is too high or your fender and header panel are bent down in the front. The right hand light looks about like mine. From the pictures your linkage bushings don't look too bad. I wonder if some of the supports are bent behind the body panels on the left front.
the side with the black headlight has been hit before and the guy tryed to fix it, im hoping to get it in a body shop fairly soon but i dont have the money right now
