GSL-SET Vs Subaru STi?

Just in case my fellow 1st Gen'ers don't
visit the Kills section regularly..

FB Kills Subaru STi

Thats Freakin Awesome! :ylsuper: I would've figured the subaru to keep up a little better than that. Although 400 hp in a 2500 pound car is nuts!

Every time you post, you make me want to go turbo.

Then I snap back to reality and realize that I'm broke....

But dude, you're my Hero!

you know something....when I first purchased my 7 and used the g-tech on it: best run was 18.2@76 mph: I thought that was fine for what it was..then I read up on what GSL-SE's should do and said wtf? so I tuned it up and changed all the fluids..basically got involved in my 7...went out again...17.5@84mph better but not impressive at all..however I am at high altitude and all the cars I have used the G-Tech on won't run the numbers mags and folks claim up here..I realize my 7 is quite old and tired 140+k miles and noisy tranny, but she feels faster and more responsive than the 82 12A I used to own..that car was tired too lol.
Seeing all these posts about the turboed 7's and N/A slightly modded 7's gives me hope..the car is light stock and the rotary has tons of potential..potential that can be reached with less money than most comparable piston powered cars..to a certain degree...
I HAVE PLANS........
Cheers!

Still assuming the guys in the STi were at least 150 each and the car alone is about 3200 = ~3500lbs for 300hp < 2950lbs for 410.

Way to show the old school can whip some ass.

BMS2004 11-07-05 02:42 PM

wow your car is heavy. I take it not gutted at all. Plus all the turbo stuff adds up. Regardless seems heavy

ttrider 11-07-05 02:59 PM

nice man good job

FB II 11-07-05 03:03 PM

plus a super outrageous beefy rear end that will take all the abuse he can dish out :D :D :D his car is what i would say... equal to that of a beast FC in terms of power to weight. altho...much more capable of handling the power and oh so so so SO MUCH COOLER!!!!!!!!

Well, if you are going to put DF's wheel horsepower, you might as well put the STi's wheel horsepower.

~3500lbs for ~250hp < 2950 lbs for 410 hp.

ah, where did he say that was wheel? But I do remember now seeing his dyno graph. I know right now I couldn't touch him, but lets see what santa brings me.

Besides, I am thinking of an upgrade myself...
Maybe skip the 500rwhp club altogether, and go for the 600rwhp club..
