Question GSL-SE tilt on driver side

Has anyone else had the problem of the first gen (specifically GSL-SE) tilting lower on the driver side in front of the car? When I go over some bumps or holes the tire scrapes on the wheel well or lip of the fender. I thought about putting a few shims on where the strut and spring connects to the frame. I have tried everything else. Replaced all bushings, have new struts and springs from tokiko (sp). I also noticed the passenger rear wheel well is higher than the driver rear wheel well. The car has never been wrecked to my knowledge (carfax and old owner's records). Any thoughts?

i had the same problem, bought new shocks didnt fix it. swapped springs from pass to driver, well lookie there its fixed. a 20-25yo spring loses some of its strength and tends to sag.

Thanks Jeezus but it seems that whole thread is a huge debate over the details of shocks. I was impressed with the amount of people that have the same problem. I'll do some of the things that were suggested.

Isaac, I just put new struts/shocks and new springs on the car so they are both the same. I have to figure this out or my front driver's side tire will not be usable much longer.

i would do as stillettoman said first, to verify whether the front or rear suspension is causing your problem. then we can go from there.

I would suggest you sit in the passenger seat and have someone weighing 200 bls less in the drivers seat take you for a spin and see how it reacts. LOL, had to do it!!!!!

If you look through the Black Dragon catalogue on the front suspension page,(page 65, part # 40), you find a shim listed. You can add up to 2 shims per side to raise a corner. Measure the height of the wheel well arch on both sides, with and with out driver and compare the differences.

I just got 2 shims from Mazdatrix and will have to put them on. However, as you saw my other thread, I probably ruined my battery and also have to find out why those gauges stopped working. Must be a short somewhere.
