GSL-SE lacks power?? What to do??

I have had 3 GSL-SE's and this one runs great and all, it just lacks the getty up that the others had??!! This is a bone stock GSL-SE and I think it still has the original wires and maybe even the plugs. I havenot done a tune up on it or had the timing checked. The car is very ,very clean ...it just lacks the power it should have....what would you do or check.....should I just do a total tune up? Like I said , it rins fine....smooth , no sputters or hesitation...I am at a loss...thanks.....chris

Give it a complete tune up like ya said, throw some NGK plugs in there and give it a go, my car was runnin kina crapy , threw on some older 4 prong ngk plugs and it started up easy and great.

General tune-up & timing set is a must.

Also readjust the TPS, and clean & lube the throttle plates.

Also check the rear brakes & the parking brake cable, make sure there's no extra drag on the rear wheels.

Also make sure all 6 intake ports are opening as well.

Also make sure your battery is in good condition, voltage reads 13.6 at idle and grounds are in check.

Ditto on the cats. Also make sure your fuel filter is clear. Even a little trash can be detrimental to your idle/power band.

Also, if your SE has high mileage, or if it sometimes sits for a few days, the compression seals/springs might need a little help... MMO for a few weeks... one 16-oz bottle per tank of gas.

I'm glad your SE is running smooth.. mine is due for a major tune-up and compression check. Looking forward to summer already..

the car has 82,000 miles...but I have no idea when or if it had any tune up...could all be original!!...I personally think it is...like genrex, look forward to warmer weather so I can give my baby the complete tune up...How do you know the cat is clogged for sure??Is 16oz of mmo in the tank over kill???? can it hurt?? I like to follow directions and the directions don't say dump the whole thing in...makes me nervous when directions aren't followed...its like...if the doctors says take two of these and you take 6, your asking for it....
