Once again I see there are many Hp threads starting up and there are many new guys here.

For all the newbie's let me explain what this mod will do.

*better response
*cooler intake temps (bypass and relocation of a coolant line)
*restores the steady idle
*cleans up manifold (removes dashpot and some other crap)

Porting the intake and runners....
You will experience stalling in colder climates before the engine reaches operating tempurature. (can be resolved by having a spare intake and swapping it back during winter)

You might gain a few HP with this, but response is definitely noticed.

Best part is.... inexpensive. I believe with all the tools handy the operation will take 1-2 hrs (going at a really slow pace!) porting will add more time.

Second gen guys swear by this mod, I do too.

i have a modded and ported TB, i think im gonna put it on this weekend
does anyone know if the gasket between the TB and the DC can be reused?

 

depends on the condition, sometimes it can.
