GSL-SE Fuel filter, specialty item?

GSL-SE Fuel filter, specialty item?
So i got a generic universal clear view fuel filter, and went to replace the stock one.
Well the stock one is about 4 times larger than my small one, and it also has special angled connections to the fuel line.
Do i need a specialty part for the filter?

You bought the wrong filter. The SE filter is a metal cannister with banjo fittings at each end. The clear plastic filter will not be able to handle the higher fuel pressure from the EFI. The carb's use approx 6psi, 13B EFI is 40 psi or so.

Sounds like you got the right filter for the non GSL-SE models.
It not so much the plastic housing that won't hold up, but the non-SE's pump a much lower fuel volume. I doubt the filter element would be able to keep pace...
