GSL-SE Engine Bracket???

I am in the process of putting a 13B from a GSL-SE into my 85 GS. I have pulled the 13B and looked at the front engine bracket and it looks weird. It’s bolt surfaces to the crosses member are not equally off center. It looks like it would put the engine at an angle. Ok, so I haven’t measured it yet or taken a second look. I just thought I would ask you folks who have already done this.

So, why should I use the 13B piece instead of notching the bracket of my GS by3/4”

Has anyone used different (maybe solid) motor mounts to lower the engine in the frame (to lower the roll center)?

Use the GSL-SE crossmember. It will be a bolt-in. The engine is NOT centered, and it IS at an angle from the factory.

Really, its at an angle?
Ok, I thought maybe it was just me. Ya, I think using the GSL-SE crossmember would make it a bolt-in. I was thinking it looked off.
