GSL-SE Aux. Port. help

I have an 84 GSL-SE that currently has no Cat converter on it, also my aux ports are not hooked up to the exhaust to opperate them, Since I need to buy a new cat to pass my state inspection should I buy a universal cat with an air pipe to drive the aux ports? or would it be easier for me to drill and tap a fitting into the exhaust closer to the engine closer just for the sake of not having to run a pipe from under the center of the car all the way back to the engine.

You can buy a converter with a flange that hooks directly to the pipe that actuates the sixth port. If the pipe is missing, you should be able to find one on here.
