GSL-SE 4 Injectors control ECM...... :)

I had an idea last night, in my journey to get "mr.Hankey" running I keep hitting brick walls...

I was wondering if I got a second (as in an aditional) GSL-SE ecm if I could eliminate everything off the HArness for the second ecm except for the injector control and the power supply.... Thus running 2 sets of injectors on a s4 manifold system.....(ie.4 injectors) I am crazy I know... And I know that a MEGASQUIRT would be great but, well I was just wondering... Also could I splice the injector wires and split them into the other set thus running 4? I know that the resistances would be fubared up but couldn't I install inline capacitors to make up for that or something?...

Anyways I'll go back to thinking crazy things......

So you would have 4 primary injectors with 2 being controlled by each ECU? If so wouldn't you flow more fuel than needed? I think that this would be impossible since the ECU's are not tuneable. I don't know if this would work. Also where would the second two injectors go? There really isn't any more slots in the se block... In the end though I think that it would be easier just to megasquirt it though...lol

Well I am using a s4 manifold so there are 2 extra Injector ports. The stock Gsl-se injectors are like 720units the s4 are like 480units I could run 4 s4 injectors instead of 2 720 SE injectors, it would be a little more fuel but not much, considering I am running a S4 block and manifold with the larger stock ports.....

2 720's = 1440
4 480's= 1920

I am not quite sure how the s4 injectors function but if I am not mistake I believe that there are secondary injectors for a reason. Once again if I am not mistaken, in the 3rd gen there are seondaries for when you go wot or close to it. Are the s4 injectors set to go sequentially as well? If so it would be cool to go 480 primaries and 720 secondaries. I think that this would require you to change out your ecu though. Not sure if you could control it with a second se ecu.

I know the secondaries flow some fuel at all times on the s4 cars how much I do not know.. I think the setup described would work, it would probably be a little rich at idle but imagine the power..... having the injectors in the manifold would really boost the response as opposed to just in the block. Or I am just dreaming..

Wrong.
The secondaries do not deliver fuel until about 3500-4000 RPM.
How do I know this?,my AVCR boost controller has an injector duty cycle moniter and it stays on 0% until about that RPM.The whole "2nd gen, 3500 stumble" issue that so many people suffer from,is caused when the secondaries coming online.

No..that sucks. What if I installed a pressure switch that would send power to the second ECU at a certain point of pedal travel.. like at WOT or something like that?

You 're still going to get too much fuel for what you need. It's just going to dump all the fuel in and you'll bog out.

You need the S4 harness along with the ecm. Fwiw, injectors sizes are 680 and 460, not what was posted above.
