Question GSL '85 questions...

Once again, my co-worker's friend has another 1st gen for sale! I got to check it out too! Quick questions though.

He's selling it to me for $500....after i found out about these problems..
1) oil leak (quick glance, noticed it when i looked under the car for any sign of leaks...looked like it was near the oil pan, but it may have been a bit closer *poor depth perception*)
2) windshield wipers don't work
3) passenger seat window doesn't work
4) didn't notice much rust except in a big spot near the back of the car, around the right side of the trunk area.

I would show pictures, but I didn't and don't have a digi-cam available.

A couple of dents here and there...135k milage...seems to sputter a bit when it's on...idle'd at 1k during start...dropped down to maybe 700rpm?

Overall it seems worth it since it's selling pretty cheap and I could always pay for repairs, but I'm afraid that repair costs may be a bit overwhelming. A bit of help, anyone?

two years ago i bought a pristine 85GSL with 49k for $1700 in SF.

You can get windshield wipers at a junkyard. I go to the Pick 'n Pull in Fremont. Look for half price day.

Window is easy to fix after you remove the door panel. If you need a new 'regulator', the gadget that moves the window, either mazdatrix.com ($150 manual, $250 electric) or the JY ($cheap) will have it.

Motor may require attention: new plugs (NGK only!) , wires, fuel filter.
