How can you tell if the car is a Gs or a Gsl....the insurance are saying that by the Sin Number the car is a Gsl...therefore, the rate is much higher...

It's a 1982 Rx7 with a 12a.

Any way to find out...

 

Only by the VIN for sure... Otherwise if it has disc rear and a LSD then it is a GSL also power windows... Gah.. how much difference can it make? And if anything I would think the GSL would be cheaper since it has a LSD and 4 wheel disc brakes makes the car safer..

$130 more? If they can't tell from the VIN number then tell 'em it's a GS.

I'd get a new insurance co if I were you.

 

Leather seats and door panels.

The L in GSL stands for Leather.

S is the non sunroof model (AM/FM radio).
GS is the Sunroof model (AM/FM/Tape).
GSL is the Sunroof + Leather interior model(AM/FM/Tape/Eq). Also had LSD Dual brake rear from the factory.

I have a GSL-SE with no leather, so can it realy stand for leather?

 

My '82 GSL doesn't have leather either. I know it is a GSL too.

 

My insurance is the same from my 79sa to my 85gsl. Change companies.
