Exclamation Grrr.....Dam weber carbs!

Last weekend I spent almost the whole time working on my '82, put fresh brakes all the way around, new battery, new alternator, pirated from a 323 had to change pulley but another than that identical, and now my rear carb starts pouring fuel all over the header! Getting it rebuilt so for the next 5-7 days I am without a car, GRRRRRRRRRRRR!
But the rear carb has always ran kinda funny so I'll be glad I caught it before the car blow up. I grow more and more tired of these dam carbs, any suggestions on a better carb setup, hopefully a single carb set up?
