BigJim,

Do you have the air bleeds in the holes? Do you have the insulator bushings and o-rings for the injectors?

They usually break when I try to remove them from a old engine,

Might want to give MazdaTrix a call.

Here's your part:

These help to atomize the fuel spray coming out of the injector to provide a more uniform mixture. You might also want to consider new injector seal kit to cover any leaks from using old injectors. Over time, they shrink down and get compressed and can leak. Good luck,

interesting, very interesting. Does that goes on the end of the injector, or inside the injector housing?

It fits down into the hole on the top of the engine for the injector, and the rubber O-rings that you see on the diffuser allow it to seal in the injector hole. The fuel injector then seats against the top of the diffuser (right side, in the illustration) to form the lower seal.

These inserts are necessary to get the proper length to allow the fuel rail to snug down and seal both injectors against their top and bottom mounts. Additionally, there's an O-ring that goes around the upper feed end of the injector to further seal the rail under high fuel pressures. HTH,
