gray t2 seats in burgandy interior fb
I need your opinions guys. I've been searching for a pair of good condition burgandy turbo 2 seats for my fb for a while now. Only thing is I haven't found any. I do however have a chance to get some nice grey ones.
My question is do you think the gray seats on burgandy interior would like crap basically? i'm undecided.
Thanks guys

Thanks for the reply. I just can't help but think they will look kinda funny and "off". I dont have a show car or anything like that, I just can't decide. lol
When you say seat covers you mean actual seat covers or getting them recovered? Wouldn't it be hard to find covers to match the burgandy colour?

But you know black goes with anything, grey unfortunately does not!

my white 1st gen has a burgundy interior and grey 2nd gen seats. HOWEVER, the bright spark I bought if off had recovered the dash and door trims in black scratchy carpety sorta stuff.
So the main carpets, roof, lower consoles, steering shroud, and many rear trim bits are still burgundy.
My centre console between the seats is removed and I have a fire extinguisher and a battery isolator switch there, so thats a little less burgundy.
I reckon mine looks ok.
Except maybe the wood steering wheel.

heres a pic
I took out the CD player and original radio as I use it for hillclimb racing and had no need for them in there. I'll strip more wiring early next year. I'll probably build a 1 piece removable box assembly with a head unit and some 6x9's that will sit where the rear seat belongs and can be easily removed. Ther red tool box comes in handy...
It is an 1979 "s1" (early 1st gen - the one with the rubber edges on bumpers) - the gearbox is an s2 (mid 2nd gen, about 1981-1983) and thus the shifter is a good 4" further back than originally - hence why console looks odd.
Oh, and the blue material around the base of the shifter is an old pair of track pants stuffed there to cut down noise

Here is the car.
The upper dash, door skins and panel behind the driver/passenger but before the wheel arch are covered in an acrylic material that is like a very thin carpet. The lower dash assembly looked brown, but has come up burgundy in the pics. It has the original carpets (not clean, sorry.. ). the base of the rear seat is removed and the back of the rear folded down. The rear carpet in mine is black (dunno if it is original).
The seats are from a jap delivered 2nd gen. The are on stock or near stock 1st gen rails. I bought the car earlier this year with different 2nd gen seats (blue...).
We are in drought here and have water usage restrictions that legally prevent me from washing it and hosing it off....
