yea I still work there, not being paid enough. I got cut a deal I believe. Cause last I looked used Optimas were 70 bucks. I'm hoping to get my stuck thermostat fixed sometime soon. Stuck WIDE OPEN. lol. So it's running cold, but hey I have to ask, is it really bad to run a rotary cold?

Well besides not having aheater during the winter months, not really. However if you run too cold of a stat during hot weather you risk overheating. This is because the coolant will not stay long enough in the radiator to let it cool down before it storms thru the engine picking up more and more heat. I recommend that you run the stock temp and add redlines
water wetter, this usually keeps the temp down under loads. Also fabricate a heat shield if you dont have one between your intake and header. also wrap the header in the high temp
cloth. rx7doctor

edit: do not wrap the header in a high-temp cloth. There are many posts on the death of premature headers on this forum.

yea I read about that happening. I'll probably just buy the heat shield from RB. But hey thanks guys. Car's been with a stuck open thermostat for 9 months now, or longer no telling. Now it's time to see if I can get this bird running right.
