As far as I can tell, this carb has a working choke. But it is confirmed that its a 50mm. I'm not up on Mikuni's though. I just know its a 50mm cause the butterflies are marked with 180 and according to Todd at Wolf Creek Racing, thats a 50mm carb.
get back to us when you measure the carb with a micrometer please
venturies
carb bore at the rear of the carb
thanks

I don't know how long its been sitting, but its remarkably clean inside. I pulled the fuel bowl cover off and I was very surprised to see how clean it was. I will probably rebuild it, but chances are it would work just fine the way it is. Also, the floats appear to be solid, making this a good candidate for a blowthrough turbo setup.

As for the bore at the rear of the carb, I measured it with a tape measure at 1 15/16". Not incredibly accurate, but that works out to 49.2mm I think. The venturies look to be about 3/8" overall smaller than the bore. Might be more, might be less. We'll have to see. Unless I can find a supplier for 50mm carb venturies, I'm stuck with these. Unless Wolf Creek Racing has them and just doesn't list them on their site.

if you want bigger venturies a machine shop can bore them. that is what some people do on ida's. and as far as jetting buy a set of number and pin drills and start small and work your way up much cheaper than buying a bunch of jets but once you go to big you have to start over. I would just bolt it on and try it first

Ok, the diameter of the barrel is just a touch under 50mm, 49.89 to be exact. I had a hard time getting an accurate measurement on the venturies, but they are very close to 34mm, which is on the small side.

what? that dosnt make any sence a 50mm carb with a 34mm venturi?
you have a vey unique carb, thats for sure

here is an example for ya , out of the box,a weber 45 comes with 36mm venturies and a 50mm weber comes with 44-46 mm venturies..

I have no idea why the venturies are so small. That may not be the actual size either as they are quite unique looking. I'll see how it works out with my engine and go from there.
