Got her started ... then "overheat exhaust" light
First, thanks for all of the advice on how to get my 2 year sitting the garage flooded 84S started.
To get it going, I poured a little oil in the carb with a blast of GunkOut Car cleaner. After the smoke had cleared, the battery and "overheat exhaust" light came on and the car died.
Now none of the indicator lights come on and the car makes a funny noise like a belt is loose. What has happened?

Hi!
Have you checked your alternator belt tension ?
Between the alternator and the eccentric shaft pulley, you should be able to press the belt in 0.39" (10mm)
Is your alternator plug in the rear of the alternator plugged in ?(Firewall side of the enginebay)
I cant comment on the exhaust overheat light,i dont have one of those)

That light is comming on cuz your cat is overheating.
Not to sure why it wouldn't start though? Cat's way way clogged
I can get you a Bonez cat replacement pipe that's been bored out, you could use as a straight pipe!?!
Check all your vacume hoses.
