I was at work and i got a call from my friends dad and he tells me hes got a friend who has an rx7 and some parts he wants to get rid of. So i talk to him a little and he says hes got an 84gs with a 79 12a in it! He also says he has lots of black interior stuff from a 79, an 80 12a, and 79 tranny. So I ask him how much he wants for all of it and he says he just wants somebody to take it off his hands. I was like "HOLEY ****" Ill take it all. Later that day me and my dad went to his house to check it out and it turns out the car is in great condition to just be givin away. The car is complete just needs a little TLC and it would be a great car. The only thing is the engine just crapped out. He said that he was driving it and it just lost all power and he had to keep it floored just to keep it running but eventually died and just wouldnt start. Any ideas?

Anyways, the 12a from the 80 looks like it needs some work but im just gonna break it down and part it out...Anybody want some 12a rotor housings or e-shaft?
Dont know how many miles are on the tranny but im taking it too. Hes got 2 garbage cans full of parts including a master and slave clutch cylinder which are exactly what I need for my car. Theres a rear winshield that has no cracks in it.

Im not sure what im gonna do with the car yet. I might part it out and get everything I can out of it or I might strip it and build it into an autox/strip car, dont know yet. If theres anything you might want from what i listed let me know, no reasonable offer will be refused.

Let me know if you have a speedo cable that you'd be willing to separate with. I'm looking for one.

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the speedo cables between 79-85? Do all first gens use the same cable or are they different between series 1, series 2, & series 3 like usual? Just thought I'd ask before I buy another used part that doesn't fit on my car. I've had a bad tendency to do that lately........
