Gooey clear stuff inside ignitors! AAARRRR!!!

Anyone have any tips for the sticky clear stuff that lives inside the J109 ignitors? Man that crap is annoying! I've got two ignitors that I'm trying to gut for use with a DFIS setup. However, it usually takes me about 25-30 minutes to clear up all that sticky junk, and usually about a roll of paper towels. Anybody have any tips they would care to share?

I've tried several chemicals against it as well, to no avail. There has to be some weakness. Tell me what its kryptonite is!

Jamie

It's probably silicone based... which makes it damn-near impervious to solvents.
