Why go through all that? Just get married, you'll get yelled at plenty.

Have fun at Fort Lostinthewoods. That is what everyone in the military calls it.

I did both basic and AIT at "lost in the woods" back in '89. You WILL be a better person after completing your training! Man you will get to shoot all kinds of stuff to ****!!!! Night fire with tracers is way cool! Believe it or not, I got used to the gas chamber, so many people are scared to death of the chamber but really it's kinda fun.....where else can you see a jack-*** with a 4 foot snot wad dangling from his nose run screeming from a building right into a damn big *** tree!?! It really is no big deal though, you can do ANYTHING when you know it's just for a little while!

I think I speak for all the rest of the sad-sacks who never will when I say THANKS FOR DOING YOUR PART IN KEEPING THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD FREE!!
See you in the future.
Rick.

Well i aint no yank, but i know what basic training is like. Im in the Australian Army Reserves. Drive a M113 APC on the weekends.

Basic training for us was hell, but believe it or not we found happiness when they compared us to the U.S.ARMY... well basiclly they said by our 3rd week of basic were like the fresh out of basic soldiers in the US.

aparently your all "undisciplined f**kwits" ( A quote from my section commander in Basic) But i wont start slugging ya because i know im outnumbered.

My only real tip for any sort of basic is to be the grey man, dont be really crap and dont be really good, just stay in the middle and youll be fine.

Oh and one last thing.... AN MP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mp's have to be perfect at everything and better than everyone because they have to uphold the law, good luck tho' soldier

- Tpr Dee aka James :P

P.S. Do you really have people so stupid in your army that you have to print "front towards enemy" on your claymores......*shakes head*

Hey, I am a former Marine..Let's not get into
which branch is better than which.

We already know the Marines are superior.
The Army is well funded though...

A Marine and an Army grunt go to the bathroom to wizz. They finish up, the Marine goes to the sink and washes his hands. The Army grunt zips up, and heads to the door. The Marine barks out "Ya know the Corp taught us to wash our hands after using the head!".
The Army grunt replies "Iszat so? Well the Army taught us not to **** on ours!"
